Miad has always been a huge Lakers fan so before moving to Los Angeles, we excitedly anticipated going to games all the time - especially because our first apartment was less than 5 minute walking distance from the stadium. Yet, it’s taken us 3.5 years to finally make it to one together. Similarly, before moving to Santa Monica, we agreed to do a sunset beach walk everyday but in reality, we do it maybe once a week. It’s so easy to get sucked into the daily routines of work and life, but once in a while, it’s nice to be a tourist in your own city!

Diwali Highlights!✨🪔 Miad almost didn’t join me because he couldn’t take time off and quick trips are always brutal (It’s a 6ish hour flight with a time difference). But he’s had to miss so many milestones lately that he decided to make it for less than 48 hours!! We’re exhausted but it was well worth it to see everyone and spend Diwali with family 🙂‍↔️

Violin lessons look a little different these days 😅 Carnatic music (South Indian Classical music) was always a big part of my life but with moving, work, and responsibilities, it’s been really tough to stick with it recently. Every year on Vijaya Dhasami (last day of Navratri) my teacher and I practice even if it’s short and we have to deal with technical glitches of remote lessons.
